JSGS/IPAC Workshop: Truth and Reconciliation Commission

University of Regina

Presented by Dr. Shauneen Pete, Executive Lead: Indigenization, University of Regina

In this workshop, participants will learn how they can facilitate and participate in advancing the goals of reconciliation. Essentially, the session will attempt to understand what “reconciliation” means to all people involved and how it can be achieved in real world application (i.e. employment, education, social values, etc.). The development of the report Honouring the Truth, Reconciling for the Future will be discussed and this will introduce a better understanding of how to implement the Calls to Action, both professionally and personally. The proposals brought forth by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report will be a main focus.

After the workshop, join the JSGS Student Association at the Annual Wine and Cheese Reception.

Worth one 990 credit.

Please RSVP to Gillian Borys at Gillian.borys@uregina.ca
